Morning Routine To Increase Productivity!

productive mornings

We are living in a age where there are many things competing for our attention. If your a parent that could be your children, spending to much time on social media, or even the inability to focus due to stress, anxiety and a range of other reasons. None the least you probably got here because your looking for an effective morning routine to help with productivity.

If that’s the case for you, then trying theses techniques are sure to help you get the most of your mornings. I also included a free printable checklist, to help you take advantage of your mornings to become productive.

Always Do The Hardest Part First

The first one I’ll start off with is get the hardest part done first! Doing so will save you a load of time! I prioritize my work based off urgency and importance!

Normally once we get to the hard part, we are dragging from already getting so much done before. Getting the hard part over with makes certain that you have enough energy and willpower to complete your other task.

If you allow your self to do all the easy work first, your essentially putting off the difficult task off more and more. Which could lead to you not even doing the harder task. Getting the most stressful parts done first allows you an rewarding feeling, which will motivated you to feeling as everything after is easy breezy.

When trying to become productive always make sure you take the instinctive to have a schedule already made up, then insure you make it a priority to get all your task completed.

Plus it helps you build up your discipline! Having self- discipline make you think about all the choses your making leading you to develop more self-control and dedication. (Which can get you extra money through promotions, father career opportunities, etc.) It’s also important to build up your self-discipline when faced with situations such as: allowing you to over come work distractions, if your constantly getting distracted at work it may cause your productivity to be negatively effected.

The The Pareto Principal.

Have you ever heard of the Pareto Principle also known as The 80/20 Rule?

The Pareto Principal states that roughly 80% of our consequences come from 20% or the causes.

It made me think more on my inputs and outputs. For example: You’ve been doing research on how to grow your business or attract more customers and you find something that you believe will benefit your business for success. You would spend more time focusing on achieving them.

With that being said that’s why it’s so important to prep ahead of time. Prepping a head of time can help you:

  • Reduce Your Stress And Anxiety Levels
  • Manage Any Problems That May Come Up
  • Allows You To Develop Healthy New Habits

You can also do this by writing down you all of you upcoming projects and deadlines. Scratch off all the task that aren’t as important or things that won’t take the most of your energy, and start focusing on the bigger task.

*Make sure you have deadlines for yourself. But most importantly make sure that you are actually hitting your deadlines.

Take More Breaks

Sounds strange right?

Research shows that taking breaks can help to reduce stress and boost productivity performance. Have you ever worked for a long period of time with no breaks, that you became so mentally drained to the point you couldn’t even produce new ideas?

We’ve all been there, and that why taking frequent breaks helps to prevent you from feeling weak, exhausted, and fatigue.

Now of course taking breaks isn’t as much of a relief as actually taking a vacation. But those mini breaks can still be quite effective, in rising your energy. So be sure to squeeze a break or two in whether it be mini breaks or slightly longer breaks such as 15-30 minutes at a time.

Preventing burn out helps to give your mind a break and also spark extra inspiration. Some different ways you can spark creativity and inspiration are, going out for a walk to get some fresh air, meditating, calling a friend up. The choses are endless!

Make Mornings Your Bestfriend

Scientist who studied sleep and wake schedules have stated that speed and accuracy in completing task better in the mornings. They also stated that the first few hours in the morning are a great time for sticking to schedules and following your routines, so take advantage of that benefit!

If your someone that needs that extra me time in the morning, dedicate the beginning hour or so to yourself. You can do that by making yourself breakfast, working out, or even journaling.

Having a sound mind is essential to your over all health. Its essential because:

  1. Better Sleep
  2. Boosts Work Ethic
  3. Enhances Your Mood
  4. Build Personal Growth

Having a boost in these areas could make it more likely to enjoy your work which is always a plus!

No Multitasking

Trying to multitask your work is a big no no! Multitasking is actually quite unproductive!

Of course it seems like a good idea to take on serval task at once as it can help you get ahead of the game. I mean it’s like “Killing Two Birds With One Stone” right?

Wrong!

According to Stanford research the concluded that multitaskers are horrible separating all the task they are completing. Also when trying to multitask your mind becomes conflicted due to it naturally being divided from doing multiple task at once only multiplying your mistakes.

In 2011 a study was conducted by The University Of California showed how jumping from one task to another impacts short term memory. There study also suggested that “the negative impact of multitasking on working memory is not necessarily a memory problem but the result of an interaction between attention and memory” says Adam Gazzaley, MD, PhD

Focusing on one task at a time helps get things done more effectively and efficiently! Multitasking can also cause some people to get even more distracted from the most important asked on your list.
