“How kind the Lord is! How good He is! So merciful, this God of ours!” Psalms 116:5
“Faith Moves Mountains” I know you’ve probably heard this quote a million times. As cliche as it may sound it’s true. Are you having a difficult time recognizing God’s hand on your life? Or struggling with having faith, due to difficult adversities?
God’s desire to want to help His people allows us to have confidence in His omnipotent power, to handle all of our fears, health issues, finances, and more,
I want to encourage you to keep trusting God and keep your faith on Him! He will see you through.
I pray as your on your journey of developing ways to build your faith, that these 3 Steps, will motivate you to “Push Through and Activate Your Faith.”
Let’s hop in.
Believe- To have faith and confidence in the existence of something not seen.
Luke 1:37 tell us “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
When it comes to developing faith, we must believe that God is an amazing Father who’s always looking to show us His wonderful love, grace, and mercy.
One of God’s many names in bible is Yahweh Shalom which means, “The Lord Is Peace.” I don’t know about you, but that gave me a sense of comfort, knowing that the LORD, is the one who holds all peace!
"Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you His peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all."2 Thessalonians 3:16
According to Matthew 28:18, Jesus told his disciples,“I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.” This verse alone leads me think about the countless times, I’ve wrapped my mind on things I had absolutely no control over. It’s actually comical, because all I simply need was to turn my thoughts and focus towards Jesus.
The next time you find yourself pondering on things beyond your control, try redirecting your thoughts back to the promises of Jesus. Try thinking on his unconditional love for you, and the fact he gave his life as a ransom you.
Refuge- A condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger or trouble.
Pslams 91:2 states ” This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him.”
Whenever overwhelmed, I sometimes turn to outlets (social media, talking on the phone, etc.) to release my frustrations or vent. Of course these platforms help, but they are only temporary compared to the peace I have when I run to God first! Which in turn made me realize my first place of comfort should be God!
When we come to the alter of God looking to release all our anxities, He in turn pours into us, refreshing our soul with His Holy Spirit, allowing us freedom.
We serve an amazing God who can and will bring us through any hardship whether that be a broken heart, a sickness, stressful coworkers, etc., have faith that God will see you through.
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30 NLT
Praise- The expression of approval or admiration for someone or something.
Psalms 68:19 encourges us to “Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms.”
When we make the choice to praise God, we are lifting God above all our problems. It shows the Lord an act of faith on our part.
Putting our faith in Him shows that we don’t have to always understand what’s going on, because verses like Jeremiah 29:11 tells us,“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord.” They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
We show God our gratitude when we make the decision to redirect the focus from our current issues, to God and His magnificent grace, excellent ways, and the unlimited steadfast love that He shows us daily.
Being in complete agreement with God’s plan for our lives, is another way of showing praise. Doing so shows that we recognize we are fully dependent on Him. Due to God’s unmatched holiness He is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise!
As we bring this post to an end, I pray this has blessed you and that you push through all things through Christ!
